8 December on my local cemeteries:

“Every month on the ninth” postponed to 11th due to the weather forecast

Another great walk with Christine Kuhnert whom I happily refer to again. Anyone wanting to get on her mailing list can write to her here: Bezirksgruppe Spandau des NABU Berlin E-Mail: bgspandau@nabu-berlin.de.

We saw many birds but I did not get any good photos. Below is proof that geese are still migrating :-), and that there are goldcrests in Spandau (as well as on my local cemeteries) but I have still not managed a decent photo of any. On this walk, they were very far away.

Tempelhofer Feld on Sunday 14 December

A walk across Tempelhofer Feld, privileged to watch a Kestrel enjoying her/his fresh-caught and still warm brunch, posing nicely for me and remaining uncowed by an agressive crow which ended up flying away in frustration. Also saw some more Greenfinches. Then a visit to a new little Christmas market in the former fire station, and the tower which has recently become open to the public.
