Wednesday 29 October
An e-mail reminded me of the fact that it is those who try to stand up to the misogynistic bullies (i.e. the women, usually – most men will defend them), not the bullies, that are the problem. Noted. Anyway, since I already got all that off my chest in this post, I can just forget about that crowd and move on. I have other worries now.
On this wednesday morning, the Indian summer was back, and a good opportunity for the welcome distraction it always is to take my camera out to play with light and shadow and dewdrops, and with a bit of luck see, and perhaps even photograph, a bird or two, then have brunch at “Bei Schicksal” on the way home, and finally play around a little bit – not too much – in Lightroom (and yes, I am failing miserably in my attempts to boycott US goods and services but I am just a few steps away from ditching adobe altogether).
Friday 31 October the last concert in this “Orgelsommer” series in St Michael Kirche at Engelbecken.
I was only able to actually sit inside that church for about fifteen minutes before it all got a little too funereal. Am I going off organ music again already? If only most of it were not performed in churches ….
On the way there, I played a bit with my camera:
Saturday 1 November:
A mild, almost Indian-summer-ish day. I had both brunch and afternoon coffee al fresco and in between I played with my camera at Landwehrkanal and Urbanhafen:
Sunday 2 November
The weather forecast promised mist around sunrise, so I got up early and went to Tempelhofer Feld. Unfortunately, it was not misty in any kind of photogenic way.
It was still too dark when I spotted the cranes on the move to photograph them “normally”.
I saw several incidents of crow vs. kestrel and set myself the task of trying to get some better photos of those, in better light conditions.
