Suddenly a lot of photos of roses

On my regular walk to my local LPG eco-supermarket I usually bring my camera and swing by my local cemetery in case there are some birds to photograph. This morning there was not much going on in the birding department, except the ever-present Wood Pigeons and the resident Jay (who seemed to be thinking – oh, her again), but it being a cemetery, there was of course quite a few roses (which I usually ignore or do not notice at all).

I don’t like roses, nor any other highly cultivated plants for that matter, but I do find that since they look so artificial, they somehow lend themselves to some heavy “Lightrooming” and can perhaps be made to look quite interesting anyway. Maybe.

So this morning, I went a bit overboard with photos to play around with in post-processing.

By the way – bonus tips – I sometimes end my morning walks with brunch at “by Schicksals” in Lindenstraße almost next to the Jewish Museum – tasty, varied, and relatively healthy, not to mention the ever-cheerful staff – and 8.000 steps done and then it has already been a great day and it is not even noon. Another tip: Café Nea, Lindenstraße 26, has some of the best coffee in Berlin, and a cheesecake that is trending on google :-).
