I had (again) not been to Stralau for a long time. It is still an interesting place, still changing, still a mix of old and new, the church with Europe’s oldest windows, nature conservation efforts, and, as far as I was able to see, one new café. Still no public toilets, though.
I then met Malar for a quick meal in the Friedrichshain branch of Umami, before proceeding to Alte Turnhalle, where Katrin and Maxie completed our team. So just the four of us this time, and we came in fourth-last (I think) out of about 20 (I think) teams hahahahaha, but a very pleasant evening, free of divas, prima donnas, snowflakes and borderline narcissists, so no overbearing or self-aggrandizing behaviour, or more or less subtle attempts at scapegoating, not during the quiz, and not afterwards.
I will do what I can to keep it that way from now on, since that is so much nicer for all involved.
