This time WITH the card IN the camera.
After discovering this area, recently reopened to the public, thanks to Christine Kuhnert, NABU Spandau, I went back to take another look.
If you want to visit, go to Zitadelle, and jsut before the bridge, go left. Keep going, you can’t get lost :-), and it does not matter whichever path you take – either along the Schleuse Spandau or along the canal surrounding the citadel – you just take the other path on the way back. The furthest you can get ends in a wonderful wildflower wilderness, looking across the water to Eiswerderbrücke.
I did not see, nor hear, that many birds – only heron(s), swallows, gulls, and a territorial cormorant. Also countless dragonflys and a poorly-looking (or just shedding?) raccoon.
I did take quite a few other photos in order to play with black and white in post-processing.
