Early morning walk 15 December in a loop from home to Admiralbrücke and back (stopping for breakfast almost back at home in one of my favourite places – By Schicksals, where they make the best spinach omelette, and also have a good selection of for example sandwiches).
Still searching for photos for the course assignments, I went to another new Christmas Market – Berliner Wintertraum – out Baumschulenweg direction, and swung across the Baumschulenweg Cemetery on the way. Saw many birds there but only got one blurry photo of a Nuthatch.
Wednesday morning a visitor to the tallest tree between my courtyard and Berlinische Galerie. I think it was the Goshawk that resides on the cemeteries at Hallesches Tor. If I did not have to buy a new washing machine, oven, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher in the very near future (I guess I should have seen that coming after ten years ….), I would definitely get myself a longer lense for these occasions.
Thursday, went to check out the new Xmas market at KaDeWe (been there, done that, totally underwhelming, unattractive and badly laid out) and Berlin Zoo’s new superstar. (Not in the first photo but in the rest).
A quick walk on my local cemeteries, still looking to take photos for a course assignment. Saw one of the Jays spending quite a long time on the ground, unusually, I think – at least I have never seen that before.
