The highlight was seeing a small, we thought juvenile, bat on the ground, in broad daylight, seemingly dazed. To our great relief, while we were trying to figure out whom to notify (presumably they are highly endangered), it suddenly took off and disappeared.
It is a very pleasant area and ideal for days out where you are not able to spend the whole day or spend hours travelling. Bonus tip: Kaffee Strudel, across from one of the tram stops, is very good. Also, there are a couple of cemeteries nearby with many birds.
