Once you start becoming mindful of the many little breaks a day offers, you discover how many opportunities there are to turn your attention to your breath and ease tensions in your body, instead of becoming annoyed and impatient: walking/cycling to and from work, shops etc., standing in a queue, sitting in front of a slow computer, being on hold on the phone, even during otherwise tedious tasks at home – ironing, chopping vegetables …… Make the best of it, breathe properly, re-discover that feeling of wellbeing in your entire body, enjoy the pause. It is so much healthier, also long-term, than being irritated or telling yourself how bored you are.
